JCJ was design architect for the Seneca Nation's historic entry into the gaming industry with their first property located in downtown Niagara Falls, NY. The initial phase of the multi-year development began with the conversion of an under-utilized 400,000 square foot convention center, design by Philip Johnson, into an operating casino. Build-out included a gaming floor with 2,930 slot machines and 104 table games, center bar, buffet, casual dining, 400-seat showroom theater and all back-of-house support areas. The entire project was designed, constructed and opened for business 12% under budget and in just 135 days.

With the success of the initial project, JCJ was immediately approved to begin planning and design of the next phases for development. Phase 2 brought additional operational support facilities and a 2,000 car parking structure. Phase 3 included further expansion of gaming and a 26-floor 600-room hotel, 15,000 square foot foot spa with pool and terrace and a 2,000-seat multi-purpose event center designed to accommodate forms of entertainment ranging from concerts, to boxing and banquets.

Building design and features reflect the Seneca's heritage and relationship to the region. The hotel exterior is an architectural metaphor illustrating the creation of the Falls and sculptures representing the eight clans of the Seneca Nation frame the main entry.
