The Otoe-Missouria Tribe of Oklahoma looked to the Design Build team of JCJ Architecture and Manhattan Construction to expand gaming and extend the facility to include a new hotel and convention/event center. The JCJ | Manhattan team provided a cost-effective design and delivery approach that facilitated delivery of all three components in a compressed time-frame. The collaborative design process kicked off in January of 2010 and the property opened for business just 11 months later.
One key challenge was to design the new spaces to blend seamlessly with the existing casino. JCJ's careful selection of coordinating finishes ensured a seamless transition from existing to new construction. Key spaces like the lobby and public areas were given a more sophisticated appearance through selective use of high-quality materials and finishes, providing a high impact result and keeping the project well within the defined budget.
