The Kirby Center for the Arts will consolidate this institution’s renowned performing and visuals arts programs into a singular state of the art facility.

The school Trustees recognized that the project represented an opportunity to significantly enhance and organize the overall campus. The new building brings a new focal point to the campus and allows for program adaptability and future expansion to accommodate the fluid nature of the arts programs.

The design effort was initiated by an intensive evaluation of the overall campus arts facilities and an in depth campus “character and personality” assessment. This information enabled JCJ to design a new arts center that will accommodate a 600-seat auditorium, a full complement of state-of-the-art rehearsal studios and instructional spaces and infrastructure facilities to support the programs. Gallery spaces for visual arts displays and the full spectrum of the visual arts studio spaces were also provided.
